Suicide Prevention in the Veteran Community
Sande joins Andrew Jones (USMC Combat Veteran and author of Healing the Warrior Heart) and Cassandra Facciponti (US Army Combat Veteran and West Point Alumni) to present workshops for veterans as they navigate Coming Home to a New Mission. The workshop is for veterans, their families, and the general community.
We Need to Talk About Suicide
Suicide happens to young, old, rich, poor, sick and healthy. Fortunately there are some definite warning signs, which when recognized and acted upon, can help save lives.
Interventions are formal or informal situations where there is concern for the safety and well-being of another person. An intervention can be one person to another person, or a group of people who have gathered together with a specific helpful goal in mind for a person who is in, or is on the brink of being in some sort of physical or emotional danger.
The goal is to create a turning point so that people who want to help are able to do so, and where the person who is having challenges can find realistic and face saving ways to change their behavior, and get out of their stuck situation.
The Language of Money
Money really does make the world go around and it impacts life,
relationships, and decision making. Understanding the
language of money is paramount to having a secret decoder ring on how to resolve issues, especially when real money or some form of dollar value is involved.
